To kick off the summer, I’ll be performing in the Aspen Festival Orchestra’s first concert of the season. Featuring a beautifully strange mix of Wagner and Adès, this program is a dramatic, dreamy, and slightly diabolical start to the season. I’m excited to be performing with the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble in a program dedicated to the music of Pierre Boulez. We’ll be playing two of his most iconic and intricate works: sur Incises and …explosante-fixe…—two works that are as intricate as they are immersive. This music doesn’t just unfold—it shimmers, shifts, and surprises. Whether you’re a contemporary music lover or just curious to hear something completely new, this is the kind of concert that invites you to lean in and experience sound in an entirely different way.

I’ll be performing the Rossini Bassoon Concerto in this year’s Aspen Concerto Competition. It’s a playful, virtuosic piece that’s always fun to bring to life—and even more so in front of a live audience. Come for the music, stay for the drama (the good kind).
